WhatsApp Business Platform frequently asked questions
Direct answers about activation, ownership, permissions, numbers, templates, consent, tenant isolation, billing, automation, AI review, and support.
This page summarizes the operating boundaries for the prepared Balaawi One WhatsApp integration. It does not announce live availability. Tech Provider approval, production configuration, tenant activation, and acceptance testing must occur before a tenant connects or sends.
Ownership and activation
The organization owns its Meta business portfolio, WhatsApp Business Account, business identity, phone number, customer relationship, consent records, and Meta billing. Balaawi provides the governed integration path after approval. Activation is tenant-specific and does not make the module available to every organization automatically.
Roles and access
Connection management is an administrator-only capability. Reading conversations, sending messages, managing templates, managing automations, viewing analytics, and using AI-assisted drafts are distinct permissions. Server-side authorization and tenant scope remain required even when the interface hides an action.
Messaging responsibility
The tenant approves message purpose, recipients, consent evidence, templates, variables, schedules, automations, and opt-out handling. Meta's current account state, policy, and billing dashboard remain authoritative for Meta services and charges.
Privacy and support
Support should use masked identifiers, health status, safe error codes, and timestamps. Do not share access tokens, passwords, verification codes, full customer numbers, or message content. Conversation access remains inside the authorized tenant context.
Questions teams ask next
Who can connect WhatsApp to Balaawi One?
A tenant owner or explicitly authorized administrator, and only after Balaawi enables the approved production connection flow for that tenant.
Is live connection available now?
Not yet. The base is prepared, while Tech Provider approval and tenant-specific production activation remain required.
Does Balaawi receive my Facebook password?
No. Meta authentication occurs directly with Meta.
Does Balaawi own my WhatsApp Business Account?
No. The organization owns and administers its Meta business assets.
Does Balaawi provide the phone number?
No. The organization obtains, controls, verifies, and recovers its number.
Can I use an existing number?
Possibly, if eligible under Meta's current rules. A live number may require a supported migration or coexistence plan.
Can multiple employees answer messages?
The prepared model supports separate employee access, but each user needs the appropriate tenant-scoped permissions after activation.
Can an ERP event prepare a WhatsApp message?
It can after the tenant approves the automation, template, consent checks, permissions, error handling, and acceptance test.
Can Balaawi AI send replies automatically?
The default is a human-reviewed draft. Autonomous sending requires a separately approved automation policy and is not implied by enabling AI assistance.
Who pays Meta charges?
The tenant normally pays Meta through its own account. Any agreed Balaawi implementation, module, support, or automation fee is separate.
What happens when authorization expires?
The connection should move to an action-required state and an authorized administrator must complete the approved reconnect flow.
How do I contact support safely?
Email info@balaawi.com with a masked number, safe error code, approximate time, and observed behavior. Do not include secrets or customer message content.
